Volunteer
Opportunities
PROGRAM VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are the power behind an organization like Giant Steps. From special events to project coordination
and mass mailings, Giant Steps relies on it’s volunteers to help with a variety of tasks. Opportunities to work
directly with children receiving support from Giant Steps are limited.
Opportunities to help with mailings, laminating picture symbols, gardening during the summer months, and
general office tasks are always available. We always match a volunteer’s skills and interests to a needed task
at Giant Steps. Due to our hours of operation, these jobs need volunteers Monday through Friday, generally in
the morning.

EQUESTRIAN CENTER VOLUNTEER
Christine’s Dream Equestrian Center is looking for volunteers to be
Side-Walkers and Horse Leaders during weekly therapeutic riding
lessons at Rich Harvest Farms. We are a PATH Intl. (Professional
Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) certified
center serving young adults on the Autism Spectrum. Equine Program
Volunteers receive a one-hour training to provide assistance to the horses,
PATH Instructor, and riders during therapeutic riding instruction.

EVENT VOLUNTEER
We are always in need of volunteers for our special events
and fundraisers. Giant Steps hosts major fundraising
events such as our annual Gala, 5K Walk for Autism, and
golf outings. Volunteers are needed for set up, tear down,
and event day support. We need volunteers to donate raffle
baskets for our gala, paint faces during the 5K, run hole
contest games at our golf outings, and many other exciting
and engaging opportunities. These opportunities are usually
on nights and weekends. Group opportunities are available.
