Canopy Golf Outings
Teeing it Up for a Brighter Future
Giant Steps hosted its annual golf outings at Rich Harvest Farms and Cress
Creek Country Club to support the Canopy Adult Autism Program Capital
Campaign and the development of a new Canopy Activity Center. These
events brought together golfers for teamwork, fun, and philanthropy aimed
at enhancing opportunities for our adult autism community.
The Rich Harvest Farms Golf Outing welcomed an exclusive group of 20
golfers, who collectively raised more than $65,000. Shortly after, the Cress
Creek Golf Outing gathered 132 golfers, generating an impressive $170,000
in funding. $40,000 was designated to benefit a new Health Office in the
future Canopy Activity Center, ensuring Canopy participants a dedicated
space for their day-to-day well-being.
These golf outings serve as a cornerstone of fundraising for the Canopy
Capital Campaign, helping to bring the vision of a new, dynamic Activity
Center to life. The overwhelming generosity of our golfers and sponsors
underscores a shared commitment to expanding opportunities and
enhancing the quality of life for adults with autism. Through these
continued efforts, we are building not just a facility but a future of growth,
independence, and skills training for the adults we serve.
