GIANT STEPS PURSUES GIANT FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

February 16, 2017: Giant Steps, in its never-ending pursuit to better serve the autism community, submitted eight grants this week, totaling a massive $6,695,000 in potential funding. The eight grant proposals focus on expanding Giant Steps' infrastructure as well as its ability to more innovatively engage students in various form of academia. 


Dr. Sylvia Smith, executive director of Giant Steps, puts the finishing touches on eight grants that represent approximately $6.7 million in potential grant-funding.

"We have a vision to expand our operation so that we can provide our students with nothing less than the best resources available," said Giant Steps Executive Director Dr. Sylvia Smith. "If we're able to secure even one of the grants we submitted, it would make a world of difference to our operation."

Located in Lisle, IL, Giant Steps serves individuals from over 60 school districts throughout the greater Chicago area, many of which are more heavily impacted by autism.
