NEW STUDY OPENS DOOR FOR FAMILIES TO SEEK INTERVENTION EARLIER

February 16, 2017:  Researchers at the University of North Carolina recently released findings stating that they were able to predict, with relatively high accuracy, the likelihood of an autism diagnosis in babies who had an older sibling on the autism spectrum. Early identification of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is crucial in providing those impacted individuals with targeted interventions in order to help mitigate the impact of ASD later in their lives.

GIANT STEPS TO HOST AUTISM FRIENDLY GOLF CLINICS

February 7, 2017: Giant Steps, in partnership with the Kids Golf Foundation and Amita Health Alexian Brothers, will be hosting a free golf clinic for individuals with autism. The clinic, which will be held at the Alexian Brothers Group Practice in Hoffman Estates, will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday evenings beginning February 22nd through March 29th.
